Marauders Homer Twice in Dominant Win

Bradenton Marauders News Release
The Marauders (12-7) found their stride at the plate on Friday night at Dunedin and rode solid pitching to a 7-0 victory featuring a pair of homers for the Baby Buccos.
The Marauders got the scoring started in the second inning when Deivis Nadal smashed a solo bomb to right, his second of the season. This would be the only run and hit surrendered by Blue Jays starter Ryan Jennings who finished with four innings pitched and seven strikeouts.
The Blue Jays Achilles heel would be their offense, which struggled to find success facing Marauders ace Thomas Harrington. In a stunning six-inning display, Harrington allowed only three hits and struck out four Jays, holding Dunedin scoreless and claiming his third win of the season to improve his record to a solid 3-0 mark.
The game went stale through the middle innings, with neither team working themselves into a real run-scoring opportunity. This would change, though, in the seventh inning when the Marauders battered the Jays for three runs.
The first three men in the inning walked to load the bases with nobody out; Jesus Castillo then lined on the left to bring home a pair of runs, followed up by a bases-loaded walk by Tres Gonzalez to make the score 4-0 heading into the stretch.
Bradenton tacked on two more in the eighth off of an RBI double from Geovanny Planchart and a sac fly from Jesus Castillo to mark the score at 6-0 after eight innings.
Tres Gonzalez homered in the ninth before Mike Walsh pitched the ninth, striking out two men to seal the 7-0 win.
Game five of the series is slated for 6:30 p.m. on Saturday; Luis Peralta is expected to start for Bradenton.
