Manchester Wolves News Release

MANCHESTER, NH--The Manchester Wolves, New Hampshire's af2 professional football franchise, made several roster moves this week in preparation for the team's season opener on April 5th.

Following the full intra-squad scrimmage at the Hampshire Dome in Milford this past Saturday, the team released fullback Andres Perkins and defensive back Woody Aime. On Monday, three new players, quarterback Justin Rummell and defensive linemen Keenan Carter and Larry Brown were assigned to the Wolves by the af2 league office. Carter was a three year starter at defensive tackle for the University of Virginia, while Brown joins the Wolves after playing four years at Oklahoma State.

Throughout training camp, quarterbacks James Pinkney, Brain Boland, and Jon Grant have been battling for the starting position but none of them have emerged from the pack. Rummel, a 6'1", 215 lb. signal caller from Earlham College, will have to make an immediate impression on first year Head Coach Danton Barto as the final roster cuts will come on Friday, March 28th.

The Manchester Wolves are slated to begin the season on the road against division rival Mahoning Valley and will play their first home game on Friday, April 18th on Brady Sullivan Field at the Verizon Wireless Arena. This season, the fifth in franchise history, has been dedicated as The Year of the Fan and specially priced season ticket packages are still available.
