Next Game: The Manatees next game is on the road against the reigning champion Orlando Seals. The Seals have one win and one loss on the season, and are ranked fourth in the WHA2. Face-off time for the Sunday game is 4:05. The Manatees next home game is Nov. 26th against the Orlando Seals, face-off time is 7:05 at the Miami Arena. In addition to watching the Manatees take on the Seals, come out and see the junior Manatees take on the Kendall select all-stars in a six-minute exhibition of youth hockey between periods.
Two Down: The Manatees squared off against Lakeland and Jacksonville this past weekend, and emerged from the weekend series undefeated and in sole possession of 1st place in the WHA2.
The Manatees defeated the Lakeland Loggerheads by a score of five to two on Friday, November 14. Line-mates Oak Hewer and Eric Perricone each had one goal and one assist in the game, while Ryan Kiley scored two goals in the third period to go along with his one assist. Sean Weaver made 29 saves in the winning effort.
Saturday, November 15th was the match-up against the Jacksonville Barracudas, coached by former NHL star Ron Duguay. Behind Kiley's two goal and one assist effort, the Manatees defeated the Barracudas by a score of five to two. Captain Tom Perry also added one goal and two assists, Kevin Swider notched two assists, and Eric Perricone added a goal and an assist to extend his league lead in scoring to ten points. Sean Weaver went to 3-0-0 by stopping 37 of 29 shots.
Nationally Ranked: The Manatees make their debut on the ITC/Just Hockey "AA" Top 20 Hockey Poll, coming in at #8 among 70 eligible nationwide teams from various leagues. WHA2 teams also getting recognition on the Top 20 poll are Jacksonville at #13 and Macon at #18. The Manatees have defeated both of those teams this season.
Manatee Notes: The Manatees have the top ranked power-play and penalty-kill in the WHA2. The Manatees power-play is operating at a 35% efficiency rate, while the
penalty kill has killed off 19 of 20 opponent's power-play opportunities.
Through 3 games, the Manatees have five of the top ten scorers in the WHA2. Leading the way with ten points, and with a three point lead over his teammate, is left wing Eric Perricone. Ryan Kiley is tied with teammate Oak Hewer with seven points for second overall in league scoring. Tied for third in scoring is Tom Perry and Kevin Swider with six points.
Ryan Kiley and Eric Perricone also are tied for first in WHA2 goal scoring with five goals each.

Out and About: Now is your chance to meet the Manatee players and mascots.
Manatee players (TBA) will be appearing at the Hooters in Doral on Thursday, Nov. 20th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, while you can meet Manatee staff at the Hooters in Kendall on Saturday, Nov. 22.
Friday night, Nov 21st, the Manatee players (TBA) will be at the Gordon Biersch restaurant in downtown Miami from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
The 6th Annual Turkey Shoot at Fort Lauderdale's Holiday Park will be taking place on Saturday, Nov. 22nd from 10:00am to 1:00pm. The Manatee Dance Squad and Manny the Mascot will be on hand with prizes and tickets for those taking part in the roller hockey tournament.
