Colorado Mammoth News Release
DENVER - The Colorado Mammoth announced today that it has placed the team's franchise tag on 10-year NLL veteran Gavin Prout, ensuring that the 33-year-old will be back on the roster next season. The right-handed forward, in his second stint with the Mammoth, holds the franchise record with 540 points.
"Gavin helped rejuvenate our offense when we reacquired him in March," said Mammoth President and General Manager Steve Govett. "We expect him to bring tremendous energy and passion into training camp."
The former team captain is two points shy of 800 for his career, and appears to be a lock to be named to the franchise's All-Decade Team. Prout was traded prior to the 2010 season to the Rochester Knighthawks, and then to the Edmonton Rush. He played in 26 games in one-plus seasons for Edmonton before being traded back to Colorado at the trade deadline on March 15, 2011.
Colorado Mammoth season seats are on sale now and start at just $72. Reserve your seats today at ColoradoMammoth.com or by calling 303.405.1101.
