DENVER - Heading into the fourth quarter of a tie game, with a trip to the National Lacrosse League championship game on the line, the Colorado Mammoth put the game on its goaltender's shoulders. Gee Nash promptly turned in one of the finest quarters of his career, making 19 of his 48 saves in the fourth quarter to backstop the Mammoth's 13-12 victory over the Arizona Sting.

The victory advanced the Mammoth to the league's championship game for the first time in the team's four-year history. The Mammoth will compete for the NLL's Champion's Cup trophy against the Buffalo Bandits on May 13 at 4 p.m. Mountain time at HSBC Arena in Buffalo, N.Y. The game will be televised nationally on ESPN2.

"This is an absolute thrill for everyone associated with the team," Mammoth general manager Steve Govett said. "This arena was packed with emotion, from the guys on the floor to every single fan and we're proud to move on to the championship."
