
Malone plans to bring the ABA to Cartesville and Augusta, Georgia next season

The American Basketball Association Macon-based Georgia Gwizzlies owner Embry Malone have recieved approval by the ABA League to start ground work on owning additional teams in Cartesville and Augusta,Georgia.This will make a total of four ABA teams in Georgia for 2008-09,which includes the Atlanta Vision.Clarence Brewer,a business owner who grew up in Kentucky with Malone and other Louisville,Kentucky native NBA star Derrick Andersen,who is a very close friend of Malone nephew Anthony Malone is also being courted.The last time Cartesville had a minor league pro basketball franchise,it ended up in the 2006 WBA championship.
