The Mallards last endured more than four consecutive regulation losses when they were defeated in five straight International Hockey League games between January 16 and January 24, 2010.
Last Week
The Mallards suffered three four-goal losses last week. The Mallards matched their largest margin of defeat this season in each of those three games after losing by four goals twice in their prior 30 games. Four of the Mallards' five four-goal defeats have come at the hands of Fort Wayne.
Red Light District
The Mallards have been outscored 15-5 over the course of their four-game losing streak. The Mallards are now tied for sixth in the ECHL in goals against per game (2.9). They have scored just once in their last two games and are now tied for twenty-first in the ECHL in goal scoring (2.9 per game).

You Again
The Mallards played two of their three games last week against Fort Wayne. They will make in three meetings with the Komets out of six overall games when Fort Wayne visits the iWireless Center Saturday night.
Undermanned
Due to injuries and call-ups, the Mallards dressed just 17 players- instead of the standard 18- for last Saturday's game in Fort Wayne. The Mallards found themselves short after injury last week sidelined top goal scorer Michael Parks and captain Chris Francis while defenseman Jake Baker (Manitoba) and all-star goaltender C.J. Motte (Charlotte) were called up to the American Hockey League.
Blanked
Last Friday's whitewashing at the hands of Cincinnati was the Mallards' second shutout loss of the season. They were first blanked on December 3 when they fell to the Walleye 3-0 in Toledo.
Six
The Mallards last Wednesday night against Fort Wayne matched a team season high for most goals allowed that was first set on October 14 in a season-opening 6-2 loss to the Komets.
Brady's Bunch
Brady Brassart has recorded five points (two goals and three assists) in his last five games.
On the Plus Side
Kevin Gibson is tied for eighth in the ECHL in plus/minus rating (+16).

Between the Pipes
Adam Vay has started three straight games in goal. Tanner Milliron made his ECHL debut when he entered last Wednesday's game against Fort Wayne at the start of the third period. Motte, who last Tuesday signed a professional tryout agreement with the AHL's Charlotte Checkers just before being named an ECHL All-Star, still ranks second in the ECHL in goals against average (2.25) and save percentage (.931) and is tied for ninth in wins (11).
