Quad City Mallards News Release

MOLINE, Ill. (September 15, 2009) - The Quad City Mallards, proud International Hockey League (IHL) affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers, today unveiled an overwhelmingly fan friendly promotional schedule for the team's first 13 home games, including special Webkinz Nights, a Teddy Bear Toss and a trio of opening night giveaways, according to Mallards Executive Vice President and General Manager Shawn Hackman. The Mallards' exciting series of promotions will roll on into the New Year; the promotional slate for the club's games from January onward will be announced at a later date.

"We are extremely excited about our promotional schedule," said Hackman. "We've been able to include such a wide array of special nights over the first leg of the season alone- from Teddy Bear Toss Night, to Kids' Bobblehead Night to a huge variety of other giveaways, and more- and we have so many more tremendous promotional evenings on tap for the final three and half months of the regular season as well, that both the hockey fans and the casual sports fans of the Quad Cities will be able to look forward to exciting and affordable family entertainment with the Mallards at the i wireless Center all season long."

Puck Night is the first in a series of evenings on which the wishes of Mallards fans who voted for their favorite promotional idea in an online poll will be honored. The poll, taken last month on www.myqcmallards.com, gave fans the choice of Puck Night, Bobble Head Night, Mini-Stick Night or Kids' Replica Jersey Night and drew nearly 1000 responses. While Kids' Replica Jersey Night edged Bobble Head Night as the most popular choice among respondents, all four choices received a significant portion of the vote and the Mallards have chosen to take into account the wishes of all who participated in the poll by going ahead with all four promotions.
