Mallards to Welcome All Fans to This Weekend's "Select-A-Seat Saturday"

MOLINE, Ill. (September 9, 2009) - The Quad City Mallards, proud International Hockey League (IHL) affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers, announced today that the team will hold Select-A-Seat Saturday this Saturday afternoon, September 12, at 2:00 p.m. at the i wireless Center. Select-A-Seat Saturday will give new and existing full season ticket and mini plan holders the chance to try out in person their seats for the most fan-focused ticket plans and promotional schedule in professional hockey. Mallards Mini Plans go on sale for the first time tomorrow.

"Last month's initial pick-your-seat event was met with such excitement and brought so many fans to the i wireless Center to scope out their seats that we felt we had to give fans who were not able to make it out last month a chance to come to another Select-A-Seat," said Mallards Vice President of Ticketing and Business Development Ryan Simmons. "We're very happy to be able to hold this Select-A-Seat on a weekend to make the event even more convenient for our fans. It is also exciting to be able to give not just full season ticket holders but also mini plan holders the chance to size up and choose their seats on Saturday."

As part of Saturday's Select-A-Seat festivities, Mallards forward Chris Lipsett will be on hand to meet fans and sign autographs. After joining the Select-A-Seat Fun, Lipsett will also welcome fans to the Quad Cities Hockey Association's fall sign-up event- "Hockey Across the Quad Cities"- Saturday afternoon from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Quad City Sports Center in Davenport.

At Select-A-Seat Saturday, one lucky fan will win the just released The Beatles: Rock Band limited edition premium bundle for Play Station 3. Fans in attendance will have the chance to step up to the mike, grab the axe or bang away on the drums to show off their Rock Band skills before the prize is awarded.

A second fan on hand Saturday will win his or her very own Mallards replica home (white) jersey. Select-A-Seat Saturday will also feature a host of other games, promotions and special prizes open to all in attendance.

Fans will have their first chance to purchase the Mallards' "10 QUACK" 10-game mini plans tomorrow. Mini plans can be purchased by calling the Mallards at (309) 277-1364 or stopping by the team's office at the i wireless Center. "10 Quack" Mini Plans are available for Platinum Seats, End Seats and Upper Platinum Seats at significant savings compared to normal walkup prices.

The Mallards offer five different fan-friendly mini plans. Plan A and Plan B provide a balanced spread of games throughout the season starting with the Mallards' October 24 home opener. The Weekender Plan provides seats to ten of the Mallards' most anticipated Friday, Saturday and Sunday games. By purchasing a Sunday Plan, Mallards fans guarantee themselves seats to each of the Mallards' ten Sunday afternoon games. Each Sunday contest will be followed by a Family Skate on the i wireless Center ice. In addition to perhaps the biggest holiday of them all- opening night- the Holiday Plan includes tickets to each of the Mallards' biggest holiday promotional nights, including the World's Largest Trick-or-Treat on October 30, Tough Love Night on February 13 and St. Hatrick's Night on March 17.

The Mallards' "QUACK PACK" full season ticket plans, which include the ICE ROW Cold Pass Seats ($25-Row 1), Platinum Seats ($15, walk up $18), End Seats ($13, walk up $16), Upper Platinum ($11, walk up $13), and Upper End Seats ($9, walk up $11), encompass all 38 regular season home games as well as discounts on all Mallards home playoff games.
