October 10, 2012 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Quad City Mallards News Release

MOLINE, Ill. (October 10, 2012) - The Quad City Mallards of the "AA" Central Hockey League today announced the team will begin its 2012 training camp Friday with off-ice activities at the i wireless Center and will not play preseason games originally scheduled for Friday night on the road against the Bloomington Blaze and this Saturday at home against the Blaze.

The Mallards will report on Friday for their first camp under two-time CHL title-winning coach and general manager Terry Ruskowski. The team will take the ice only after spending Friday completing physical examinations and other off-ice work. The full on-ice training camp schedule will be announced shortly. The start of camp has been shifted by one day to Friday after originally being slated for tomorrow.

"I'm looking forward to starting camp and I'm very excited about working with the guys to build the 2012-13 Mallards," said Ruskowski. "We have a talented group with a good mix of young, hungry guys and guys who have a lot of valuable experience under their belts. We should also have a lot of character in the dressing room."

The Mallards will open their third CHL regular season on Friday night, October 19 in Wichita before playing their home opener on Saturday night, October 27 at 7:05 p.m. against the Tulsa Oilers at the i wireless Center.

2012-13 Mallards season tickets as well as the Mallards' new Partial Punch Plan are still available. The Mallards offer ticket packages to meet any budget, including youth season tickets now available for as little at $165. The Partial Punch Plan provides flexibility and affordability- each Punch Plan punch card can be redeemed for ten tickets- whether those tickets are for ten different games, all for the same game or anything in between- subject to availability. Partial Punch Plans can be had for as little as $70 for youth 12 and under. For more ticket package information, fans can call the Mallards at 309-277-1364.
