May 24, 2007 - Major League Lacrosse (MLL) News Release
Boston, MA (May 24, 2007) - Major League Lacrosse (MLL), the premier professional outdoor lacrosse league, kicks off its 2007 television schedule on ESPN2 with the first live primetime regular season game in league history when the Boston Cannons visit the Long Island Lizards Friday, May 25 at 7 p.m., according to MLL Commissioner David Gross. ESPN2 has been the national television home of Major League Lacrosse since 2003.
"Having so many of our games live and in primetime is a significant step forward for us," said Gross. "When you add in high definition and all the other new technology 2007 will be a very exciting year for our league, and especially our fans."
The MLL on ESPN2 will bring lacrosse to fans as it has never been seen before. All 11 games will be shown in high definition (HD) with six of the games being televised live or in primetime. Goalie cams, telestrators, shot speed tracking and placing microphones on multi players each game will combine with HD to give fans the feel of actually being on the field and in the action.
