
Maine's Shelvin Mack Signs with Philadelphia 76ers

NEW YORK, Jan. 17, 2013 - The Philadelphia 76ers today signed guard Shelvin Mack for the 15th GATORDE Call-Up of the 2012-13 NBA Development League season. Mack joins more than 110 players with NBA D-League experience currently on NBA Rosters.
Mack (6-2, 215, Butler) has appeared in 14 games for the Red Claws this season, averaging 20.5 points, 8.0 assists, 4.9 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 40.7 minutes. He was Maine's leading scorer in four games, and led the team in assists in all 13 contests he played in.
Originally selected by the Washington Wizards in the second round (34th overall) of the 2011 NBA Draft, Mack returns to the NBA following a GATORADE Call-Up to the Wizards earlier this season. In 71 career NBA games, all with Washington, Mack has averaged 3.8 points, 2.2 assists, 1.3 rebounds and 13.0 minutes.
Mack is expected to join the 76ers today and be available tomorrow when the team hosts the Toronto Raptors in Philadelphia.
