
MAINEiacs second season comes to an end

Lewiston MAINEiacs News Release
The Lewiston MAINEiacs second season is officially over as they fell to the Rimouski Oceanic tonight 5-1.
The Rimouski Oceanic jumped out to a 1-0 lead midway through the first period on a power play goal by Dany Roussin assisted by Crosby and Pouliot. Three minutes later the MAINEiacs got on the board as Eric Castonguay ripped a shot past Desjardins for his second goal of the playoffs. But the Oceanic came back with another power play tally by Mario Scalzo Jr. to put them up for good. In the second period the Oceanic scored three times, twice on the power play with goals by Zbynek Hrdel, Dany Roussin, and Sidney Crosby got his second of the series. The third period went scoreless and the Oceanic defeated the MAINEiacs with a final score of 5-1 and won the series four games to none.
Rimouski's goalie Cedrick Desjardins got the win while Lewiston MAINEiacs netminder Jaroslav Halak took the loss.
