
MAINEiacs humble league leading Baie Comeau with a solid 7-2 victory

Lewiston, ME - As good as the offense was tonight scoring 7 goals against the QMJHL's to team, the defence was equally as impressive, limiting Baie Comeau to only 21 shots.
Jan 18Stefano Giliati led the way with a 4-point performanc (2 goals, 2 assists) while Marc-Andre Daneau, Patrick Cusack and Stefan Chaput all had 3-point nights.
The Lewiston MAINEiacs dictated the tempo of the game from the opening face-off and went on to play quite possible the best 3 periods of hockey on home-ice this season.
The MAINEiacs will try to carry this momentum over to tomorrow night as they welcome the Victoriaville Tigres in their only appearance at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee this season.
In a pre-game ceremony, Jonathan Bernier presented the MAINEiacs Education Foundation President, Marcel Bilodeau with an authentic Team Canada jersey. Bernier was a member of Team Canada that won gold at the 2008 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship, their 4th consecutive gold medal. The jersey was subsequently auctioned off during the game, raising $1,600 for the Education Foundation.
