LEWISTON, ME -- Adrian Lemay and Jordan Kennedy combined to help lead the Lewiston MAINEiacs to a 3-0 shutout win over the Shawinigan Cataractes Sunday at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee. The win improves the MAINEiacs preseason record to 3-1.

Alexis Piette scored the game's first goal, at 14:32 of the opening period on a feed from Billy Lacasse. After a scoreless second period, Samuel Carrier scored on the power play to extend the Lewiston lead 2-0.

The MAINEiacs made it 3-0 on a shorthand goal at 15:46 of the third. Samuel Grenache stole the puck out of the zone, raced down the ice on a breakaway, deked to the backhand, sliding the puck five-hole past Shawinigan goaltender Francois Lacerte. The MAINEiacs goaltending was unbeatable the entire game. Adrian Lemay made 15 saves, while rookie Jordan Kennedy stopped 13 shots. For a complete game recap CLICK HERE

The MAINEiacs will conclude the preseason schedule with a two-game set against the Saint John Seadogs. The first of those contests will take place Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. at Harbour Station in Saint John, New Brunswick. The second game is slated for Wednesday at the Willie O'Ree Place in Fredericton. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.
