MAINEiacs back in the win column with 5-2 victory over Saint John

Lewiston, ME - The Lewiston MAINEiacs regained their scoring touch after 140 minutes of not being able to find the back of the net. It was Chris Tutalo who broke finally erased the scoreless drought midway through the second period.

In the opening frame, the MAINEiacs found themselves trailing by a goal as Kevin Guerette-Charland scored on a wrap-around for the Sea Dogs.

In the second, Saint John's Bruce Crawford put the Dogs ahead by 2 with his 3rd of the year on a goal that eluded Bernier through the 5-hole. The rest of the night would belong to the MAINEiacs as Chris Tutallo tallied his 15th on the season and the first of 5 consecutive goals by Lewiston. Stefan Chaput would convert a Stefano Giliati rebound to even the score after 40 minutes.

In the third, Eric Castonguay scored a power play marker from Faubert and Denny which was followed by another goal with the extra attacker from Pierre-Luc Faubert. Simon Courcelles would finally put the game out of reach as he converted an empty-net opportunity for his 13th on the season.

The MAINEiacs travel to the maritimes next week to play Halifax and a double-header against Cape Breton.
