Lewiston, ME (QMJHL) - The Lewiston MAINEiacs are proud to announce their training staff for the 2010-11 season. Brian Morrison will be the team's athletic therapist, and Matt Flaherty will be the team's equipment manager.

Brian Morrison enters his first season in the MAINEiacs' organization, serving as the team's athletic therapist. Brian was born in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia to Larry and Susan Morrison, and has two sisters named Nicole and Lisa. Morrison attended the University of Presque Isle, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Athletic Training. He has worked for two teams in the QMJHL, performing his collegiate field work with the Moncton Wildcats in 2008, before serving as the athletic trainer for the Halifax Mooseheads from 2008-10. Brian and his new wife Brittany will spend the season living in Lewiston.

Morrison spoke about joining the organization, saying, "The great leadership that this organization has portrayed is absolutely outstanding, and I am thrilled to have the privilege to work with these individuals."

Matt Flaherty enters his third season with the Lewiston MAINEiacs' organization, after serving as an intern in 2007-08, as well as the assistant equipment manager in 2009-10. Matt was born in Portland, Maine to John and Donna Flaherty, and has a sister named Courtney.

Flaherty attended Portland High School, playing varsity hockey while he was there. Upon graduation, he also worked for the Portland Pirates in various roles, including assistant equipment manager in 2008-09. Matt currently lives in Lewiston.

Last season, Flaherty worked alongside Tom Bourdon, who recently accepted a position with the AHL's Springfield Falcons. "Tom is a great guy who I had the honor of working with and learning a lot from," said Flaherty. "I plan to bring the same to the team, and hopefully do as good of a job as he did," he said.

Morrison and Flaherty will also have a pair of assistants, as Kevin Shrader and Eric Michaud will provide help to the staff.
