MAHL Prepares for Pre-Season Meetings this Weekend

(Canton, Ohio) The Mid-Atlantic Hockey League will hold its pre-season meetings this coming weekend, October 20th & 21st, in Jamestown, New York at the Jamestown Savings Bank Ice Arena. League President & Founder Andrew Haines, MAHL Commissioner Jim Riggs, and Referee in Chief Larry Debnar will be in attendance along with the owners, general managers, and head coaches of all five Mid-Atlantic Hockey League teams. This will be the final gathering of all team officials prior to the opening of MAHL training camps on October 25th and the start of the regular season on November 2nd.

Agenda items include the review of all MAHL rules & regulations, training camp procedures, front office responsibilities, and game requirements. In addition, a series of presentations will be held including Tim Kolpien from the AppleTree Group (MAHL League Public Relations Firm); Jonathon McCurley from ClicknPrint Tickets; Brian Secord from Pointstreak.com; and Michael Ferguson (General Manager / Jamestown Savings Bank Ice Arena) who will be conducting a seminar on sports marketing, promotions, and group ticket sales.

The Mid-Atlantic Hockey League's inaugural 2007-08 season begins in early November. Each MAHL team will play a 50 game schedule through March. This year's MAHL lineup of teams consists of the Indiana (PA) Ice Miners; Jamestown (NY) Vikings; Mon Valley (PA) Thunder; Valley Forge (PA) Freedom; and Wooster (OH) Warriors.
