
Macon's Jake Trask Named Bauer Player of the Week

HUNTERSVILLE, NC - The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) today announced Jake Trask of the Macon Mayhem is the Bauer Player of the Week for April 3-8.
Trask scored two goals, added two assists and was +3 as he led Macon to a weekend sweep of Roanoke to clinch the William B. Coffey Trophy as regular season champions. The Mayhem posted a 27-point improvement over last season (53 to 80), matching the second-largest increase in SPHL history.
For the weekend, the Saskatoon, SK native posted back-to-back one-goal, one- assist outings as the Mayhem defeated the Rail Yard Dawgs 4-1 on Friday and 6-3 on Saturday. Friday's win earned the Mayhem their second regular season championship in franchise his- tory, having captured the Coffey Trophy as the Augusta RiverHawks in 2011-2012.
In his first full season with the Mayhem and fifth as a pro, Trask led the team with 21 goals and 48 points.
Before turning pro, Trask scored 161 points in 266 games with Kamloops and Saskatoon of the Western Hockey League.
