Maciejewski and Beamon Join the Swashbucklers

LAKE CHARLES LA. - The Louisiana Swashbucklers continue to bring aboard new players as preparations continue for next season. Bucs head coach Darnell Lee announces two new additions to the roster.

The first is Mike Maciejewski. He played wide receiver at Brockport State University in New York. The new signee is 5'9", 185 lbs. and is fast. He was clocked at 4.4 in the 40-yard dash. As a player for the Golden Eagles in 2007 Maciejewski caught 41 passes which was a team high. His receiving yardage was 673 and scored seven touchdowns.

The second is Rodney Beamon. He is 6'3", 325 lbs. and played as a defensive tackle for the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. In Beamon's senior year he is credited with 38 tackles, eight sacks, and two forced fumbles. "Beamon will bring a load of talent to the defensive line," Lee said. "His presence on the line will enhance our ability to defend against the passing and running game of our opponents. We are very excited to have Beamon choose the Swashbucklers as his team for the 2011 campaign."

The Swashbucklers will start its seventh season and the quest for a fourth championship on the road against the Albany panthers on March 19th.
