COLUMBUS, OHIO (July 21, 2015) - The Ohio Machine had two players take home weekly awards following the team's 14-9 victory over the New York Lizards on Saturday. Attackman Jimmy Bitter was named the Cascade Rookie of the Week, while faceoff specialist Greg Puskuldjian was named the FOAthlete of the Week, presented by the Faceoff Academy.

Bitter scored three goals, one of which was a 2-point goal, in the Machine's victory over New York. Bitter, along with teammate Marcus Holman, posted a game-high three goals. It is the second time this season that Bitter has earned Rookie of the Week honors (Week 8).

"Jimmy had a great game against New York," Machine Vice President & Head Coach Bear Davis said. "He has continued to progress in our offense each week and we are extremely excited to see what he can do down the stretch and in the postseason."

Puskuldjian dominated the faceoff X on Saturday. The Machine's first-year faceoff specialist out of Division II Adelphi University, won 16-of-26 (61.5%) draws against New York's Greg Gurenlian, a seven time winner of the FOAthlete of the Week in 2015. Having played in 11 games this season, Puskuldjian is the Machine's club leaders in single-season faceoff wins with 162.

"Greg has been a tremendous addition to our team this season," Davis said. "His performance on Saturday was somewhat of a culmination of the incredible season he has had."

The Machine returns to Selby Stadium on Saturday, July 25 for Fan Appreciation Night when the Boston Cannons come to town. With a victory over Boston to close out the regular season, the Machine would clinch the two seed in the 2015 MLL Playoffs.
