Machine Announces 2015 Roster

COLUMBUS, OHIO (April 6, 2015) - The Ohio Machine named today its 2015 regular season roster ahead of the team's first game against New York on Sunday, April 12, it was announced by Machine Vice President & Head Coach Bear Davis. The team also named midfielder Kyle Harrison, attackman Marcus Holman and goalie Brian Phipps team captains for 2015.

"Our roster is extremely deep and balanced heading into the 2015 season," Davis said. "We added guys at a number of positions that can fill immediate roles and complement the returning players on the roster. Our staff is expecting big things from this roster when it hits the field to start the season."

The Machine returns 191 of its league-leading 200 goals scored from 2014, including the MLL leading goal-scorer Marcus Holman (37 goals) and the third leading goal-scorer in the MLL, Peter Baum (35 goals). The 2015 roster consists of three goalies, seven defenders, two faceoff, seven midfielders and six attackmen.

The Machine added nine new players to its roster, including three-time MLL All-Star Brian Karalunas. Karalunas joins the Machine after a January trade with the Boston Cannons and New York Lizards. The Machine also added attackmen Zach Palmer, Steven Boyle, and James Dailey, defensemen Michael Noone and Ty Souders, and goalie Kyle Feeney. Additionally, the 2015 roster includes five former Maryland Terrapin lacrosse players with midfielders Jake Bernhardt, Kevin Cooper, Dan Groot, defenseman Brian Farrell, and goalie Brian Phipps.

The Machine hits the field for the first time in 2015 when the team travels to Long Island for an April 12 showdown against the New York Lizards. The Machine returns to Selby Stadium on Sunday, April 19 at 1 p.m. when the team faces the Denver Outlaws in its 2015 Home Opener.

Season tickets for the Machine's 2015 season are now on sale and range from General Admission at $92 to a Field Level Box at $2,400 and include seven regular season home games plus a 2015 MLL playoff game.
