Ohio Machine News Release

COLUMBUS, Ohio- The Ohio Machine have added midfielder Anthony Berardis via the Major League Lacrosse Player Pool.

Berardis is a graduate of LIU Post and is a two-time All-ECC First Team honoree. In his four-year career, the 6-2 midfielder scored 94 goals and 41 assists, totaling 135 points in 64 games. In 2016, Berardis helped in leading LIU Post to a ECC Championship, and netted a pair of goals against No. 3 Merrimack in the NCAA Division II Tournament.

Berardis was named to the USILA All-America Second Team at the conclusion of his sophomore season, the USILA All-America Honorable Mention at the conclusion of his junior season, and the USILA All-America First Team at the conclusion of his senior season.

"He's a big, physical, strong midfielder that we'd like to give a good look in training camp and see where he fits in with our group," Machine Head Coach and General Manager Bear Davis said. "We don't have a lot of lefty midfielders right now, so he gives us a little bit of a different dynamic than what we currently have."

Berardis will compete for a roster spot at Ohio Machine training camp this Spring.

To make room for Berardis on the 40-man roster, the Machine added midfielder Mark Matthews to the team's MLL Inactive list.
