- Tulsa lost the season series against Minnesota for the sixth consecutive year. Minnesota has swept the season series twice. The best Tulsa has finished a season series against the Lynx has been 2-3, which occurred back in 2010.
For the first time in eight games, the Shock outscored an opponent in the third quarter. ?Tulsa outscored Minnesota in the third, 20-19, after ending the quarter on an 11-3 run.
- Tulsa finished the game -30 from the floor. Coming into tonight's contest, the Shock was averaging a plus/minus of -3.72 during its five-game skid. This is in stark contrast to the Shock's eight-game winning streak when Tulsa was averaging a plus/minus of +6.18.
- With the loss, The Shock falls to 10-10 on the season. The .500 record is Tulsa's first since June 6 when the Shock defeated the Chicago Sky, 101-93, to improve to 1-1.
- Tulsa is currently on a six-game losing streak and a four-game home losing streak. The six-game skid is the Shock's worst losing streak since 2013. Tulsa is 1-13 against Minnesota at the BOK Center.
- ?Tonight marks the first home game of the season in which Tulsa hasn't led at halftime. Tulsa trailed, 39-45, at the end of the first half. The Shock is 0-4 when trailing at halftime this season.
Riquna Williams scored 35 points for the contest, which is a Shock individual single-game high for this season. She shot 11-of-23 from the field. She also shot 10-of-11 from the free throw line.
Minnesota Lynx
- The Lynx tied a season high for points in the first quarter with 26, which also happened in their previous game, July 31 versus Atlanta
- Minnesota scored 45 points in the first half, which is two points shy of the Lynx' season high for points scored in the first half. Minnesota scored 47 points in the first half against Atlanta on July 30.
- Maya Moore was held to two points in the first half. Moore has been held to two points in Minnesota's last two visits to the BOK Center. She finished with _ points and _ assists for the game.
- Sylvia Fowles led the Lynx with _ points, which is her best performance since joining Minnesota on July 29. Fowles shot _ from the field and shot _ from the free throw line.
The Lynx set a new season high after the team knocked down nine three-point shots. The team's previous season high was seven. Minnesota set a season low after recording two steals Saturday night. The Lynx' previous low came on June 5 and July when Minnesota accumulated three steals. Tonight's win marks the 10th time that the Lynx have held an opponent to less than 40 percent shooting.
