Lynx Sign Home Grown Talent as Head Coach for 2005

(TORONTO, ON) â A local talent, born in Toronto and having developed his love and talent for soccer with the Maple Leafs Soccer Club based out of Scarborough, Hubert Busby Junior was signed today as the new head coach for the Toronto Lynx Soccer Club.
"Junior" as he is known to the soccer community honed his professional playing skills over 12 years which includes stints with the Jamaican National Team , Crystal Palace FC and Millwall FC of the English First Division and other European based clubs. Junior is no stranger to the United Soccer Leagues, having played with the Montreal Impact, the Vancouver Whitecaps and the Toronto Lynx.
His USSF "B" license and NSCAA "A" diploma are reinforced with over 10 years of diversified coaching experience including the women's programs at Fairleigh Dickinson University and Queens University, an assistant to the Ottawa Fury in the W-League and assistant coach for the men's program at the University of Michigan. His professional coaching experience includes holding the head coach position over a 2 year period for the now defunct Ottawa Wizards of the CPSL. More recently, in 2003, he has held the positions of Canadian Youth Team Coach for the National Training Centre in Eastern Canada and Technical Director for the Kanata Soccer Club providing him with familiarity and insights into youth development in the Canadian setting. On the Academic side, Junior holds a B.A. in Sociology from Queens University in Ontario in addition to Sports Management credentials for the Professional Footballers Union in London, England and Sports Psychology credentials from Staffordshire University in the UK.
