 National Arena League

Louisville Xtreme Joins the NAL

July 22, 2020 - National Arena League (NAL) News Release

The National Arena League is proud to announce their new partnership and expansion into Louisville, Kentucky. The Louisville Xtreme, under the ownership of Victor Cole, will be joining the NAL starting in the 2021 season. The Xtreme will play in Freedom Hall.

"We are very excited to join the NAL," said Xtreme Owner Victor Cole. "We've worked very hard to align our franchise with a reputable and quality league, as we feel our fans deserve."

Cole Continued, "We chose to join the NAL because of the foundation of a national and international presence in the professional sporting industry. As arena football grows to be a strong sport once again, it's all about marketability and branding with professional sports. We felt the NAL afforded the best opportunity for us to do so by being one of the top premier leagues in the country."

Chris Redman, Louisville Cardinal Hall of Famer and Super Bowl XXXV champion with the Baltimore Ravens, will become a member of the Louisville Xtreme's arena football team ownership group, and has agreed to serve as team president.

The head coach for the Xtreme is long time Arena Coach and former Jacksonville Sharks Head Coach Mark Stoute.

"We are honored to add the Louisville Xtreme to our 2021 lineup," Commissioner Chris Siegfried stated. "Victor Cole has been working tirelessly for a number of years to make this happen, so it's great to see his hard work pay off. Cole has also surrounded himself with some great partners, and we look forward to seeing them compete in 2021. I'm also very happy to see Coach Stoute back in the NAL."

The NAL is thrilled to add the Xtreme to our organization.

"We are excited to add Victor, Chris, and the rest of the Xtreme ownership to the National Arena League," said Expansion Committee Chairman Jason Gibson. "For us, it is about finding the best partners to help grow the sport, not just throwing out expansion teams. We are excited about 2021 and Louisville is a big part of it."
