FIRE RACKS UP POINTS... The Fire scored a season high 73 points last weekend in Albany on their way to a 73-63 victory over the Conquest. Fire OS Cesare Manning set team records for touchdown receptions (7) and points (42), and he was named af2 Offensive Player of the Week. Manning also tied the af2 record for touchdown receptions in a game. Kicker Danny Kight set a team record and established a league high for 2005 with a 61 yard field goal. Matthew Sauk threw for nine more touchdown passes to bring his league leading total to 70. Dennis Fryzel and Marvin Constant were named US Army Ironman of the Game and ADT Defensive Player of the Game respectively. BYE WEEK... The Fire and the entire af2 are off this weekend as the league has instituted a league wide bye in honor of the July 4th holiday.
RIPTIDE COMING TO TOWN... Following the bye the Fire will return to Freedom Hall for their first of three July home games on July 9. The Fire will take on the San Diego Riptide and we will be giving away 500 Fire Footballs. The game will be highlighted by the Hunter's For the Hungry Wild Game Cook-off, starting at 2:00 the day of the game. Fans can pay $10 to sample everything being cooked and that includes a ticket to the game that night, season ticket holders can taste test for $8. The cook-off will take place in parking lot J at the Fairgrounds.
PUSH TO THE PLAYOFFS... With just four games left in the 2005 regular season the Fire currently sits in the fourth spot in the American Conference for the playoffs. Manchester, Florida and Green Bay have all clinched post season spots. If the season ended today the Fire would visit Wilkes-Barre for a first round playoff game. Wilkes-Barre is fifth and the Macon Knights hold the number six spot in the conference.

BRING US YOUR PHONES... The Fire has teamed up with Special Olympics Kentucky to turn your old cell phones into gold for area Special Olympics athletes. Donate your old cell phone at the Fire Will Call office on game night and receive one free admission ticket per phone. $1.50 DOGS... The Fire has teamed up with Fischer's for the July 23rd game to offer fans $1.50 all beef deli dogs. Fans can purchase up to four dogs at once. The Fire will take on the division leading Manchester Wolves at 7:30 on July 23rd.
HURRY TIME IS RUNNING OUT... Don't forget Fire home games are a great way to entertain employees or clients this summer, we only have three home games left this season. SPECIAL BOBBLEHEAD... The Fire has teamed up with Joe B. Hall and Denny Crum for a special dual bobblehead at the July 23rd game. The bobbleheads will be available to purchase for just $20 with proceeds going to Crestwood Christian Church and the Denny Crum Scholarship Foundation.
ASK COACH... Every Tuesday on Xtra Sports 790 you can hear Louisville Fire Coaches Show from 5:00 - 6:00 P.M. with host Paul Wilman and Fire head coach Tommy Johnson. Each week Fire fans can call in and ask Coach Johnson questions pertaining to the team or comment on the season.
PARTY, PARTY... The Fire also has birthday party packages available for all eight home games. Birthday packages include 12 tickets to the game, 12 hot dogs, 12 drinks, chips, a birthday cake and 30 tickets for the Meijer/Big Red Kids Zone activities for just $250.
