SIOUX FALLS, S.D., Jan. 15, 2006 - Five players scored in double figures to propel the Los Angeles D-Fenders over the Forth Worth Flyers, 111-103, in the second game of the 2007 NBA Development League MLK Showcase Monday at the Sioux Falls Arena.

Guard Brian Chase led D-Fenders scoring with 20 points as Los Angeles (10-9) snapped a four-game losing streak. Forward Sean Banks chipped in 18 points and guard Jackie Manual added 16 as the D-Fenders snapped a modest four-game win streak for Fort Worth (12-4). "I thought we executed," Los Angeles coach Dan Panaggio said. "There were some stretches where we kind of fell off a little bit, but for the most part we stayed within ourselves and executed."

Forward Pops Mensah-Bonsu, on assignment from the Dallas Mavericks, recorded a double-double for the Flyers, scoring 22 points to go with 16 rebounds and three blocked shots. Jeremy Richardson also scored 22 for the Flyers. Kevin Burleson added 20.

"It's really a great win for us," Panaggio said. "They're a good ball team, but we played well and got the win."

Forth Worth outscored Los Angeles 46-26 in the paint, but Los Angeles countered with hot shooting from behind the three-point line, converting 7-of-11 (63 percent).

"Everybody playing together makes it easier," Banks said. "We have some chemistry going now."

Los Angeles faces the Colorado 14ers Tuesday at 11 a.m. CT. Forth Worth tips off against the Sioux Falls Skyforce Wednesday at 5 p.m.
