Lorain, Ohio to play host to Redcoats

Lorain, Ohio will welcome the Redcoats organization to the Cleveland area by playing host to the Redcoats' Spring Training camp as well as three games where the Ohio Valley Redcoats will battle the Richmond Roosters on June 1 -3.

The Ohio Valley Redcoats announced today that they will hold their Spring Training at Southview High School in Lorain, Ohio. The Spring practices will be held daily from May 9 -23 and the public is welcome to come out to see the team go through its daily workouts. 35 players will come to Lorain vying for one of the 24 permanent roster spots with the Ohio Valley Redcoats.

Then, a week later, on June 1-3, the Ohio Valley Redcoats will play 3 regular season games against the Richmond Roosters at Campana Park. "It is an excellent chance for the city of Lorain to come see the extraordinary quality of play that the Frontier League brings during its entire 12 team 94 game season. It is also a chance for people to show their support and allow the league to gauge the interest level in professional baseball in the area", said John Aebischer, Business Manager of the Redcoats.
