(LONDON, ON) The London Lightning and Coach Keith Vassell have mutually agreed to part ways effective immediately. The Lightning would like to thank Coach Keith for his year plus of service and wish him the best of luck in the future.

The Lightning would also like to reintroduce Coach Elliott Etherington as the head coach for the Lightning for the remainder of the season. Elliott was a big part of the coaching staff from last year's championship team and has returned to try and keep the winning tradition going.

"I am extremely excited be back in London. I had a great opportunity last year and I'm appreciative to Vito Frijia to give me the opportunity to come back here and continue our winning success in London. The great thing is that there's a good mixture of guys that I'm comfortable with and guys I got to learn and that creates an awesome opportunity and challenge as a coach. I think all in all we have to focus on tough defense and our principals, make sure to be on the same page. If we can do all of that combined with positive energy and togetherness sky's the limit for this team." -Head Coach Elliott Etherington

The Lightning's next game will come on Saturday, December 15, 2018 where they will travel to Sudbury to take on the Five. Next London Lightning home game will be Thursday December 20 against the Halifax Hurricanes. For tickets, visit the Budweiser Gardens Box Office or go to www.lightningbasketball.ca.
