Locomotion Travel to Atlanta for First Game
April 2, 2004 - National Women's Football Association (NWFA)
Chattanooga Locomotion News Release
The Chattanooga Locomotion Women's Professional Football Team travels to Marietta this Saturday to face the Atlanta Leopards in the first game of the National Women's Football Association season. The Locomotion were the undefeated 2003 Southern Division Champions and are undefeated in pre-season play this year.
"This is an important game for the Locomotion because Atlanta represents such a large market area and produces a wealth of athletes," according to Tammy Hall, co-owner of the Locomotion. "If we can beat a team with that large of a talent pool, then we are on track to win the division for a second year," she said.
The Locomotion will have a bye week then play their home opener on April 17 at 7:00PM at Chattanooga Central High School. That game will be against the Tennessee Venom out of Johnson City. Tickets for this game are $10.00 with children under eight getting in free. Live entertainment for this home opener will be provided by The Sound Devils.
