Chattanooga Locomotion News Release

Jay Leno's NBC Tonight Show has decided to find out what all the excitement is about in the new sport of women's full contact football. Working with the staff of the National Women's Football Association and the Chattanooga Locomotion, the Tonight Show will send intern Ross Mathews to participate the league's regional tryouts in Cincinnati. Ken and Tammy Hall, owners of the Locomotion and the Chattanooga Steam Men's Minor League Football Team have been contracted by the NWFA to conduct the Cincinnati tryouts which will be held this Saturday. The Locomotion's head coach, Steve Lewis will assist the Halls in running the combine which will be used to select players for teams in Cincinnati, Columbus, Evansville and Louisville. This tryout will be the largest ever hosted by the NWFA and is expected to draw several hundred athletes hoping to play for these new expansion teams. The Locomotion will hold its own final tryout for the 2004 season in Chattanooga at Central High School on November 15 at 9:30 AM. The Locomotion is coming off its best year ever with an undefeated preseason and regular season and the Southern Division Championship. The team is looking to add depth to its roster for next season. Women interested in playing for the Chattanooga Locomotion or interested in playing for one of the northern expansion teams should contact the Halls at Pro Player Sports (423)344-7900.
