Lizards select boys U-15 team

Uniondale, NY (January 15, 2007) - Last week the Long Island Lizards of Major League Lacrosse announced the selection of their U-15 Boy's National Travel team.

The Long Island Junior Lizards U-15 held tryouts on Saturday January 6th and Sunday January 7th at Cold Spring Harbor High School. The evaluators on hand ranged from current Lizards players and coaches to George Fox the head of the Long Island Empire Team.

"With all of the talent out on the field it was tough to make the final decisions," said Junior Lizards Assistant Coach Vincent Della Speranza. "We are excited to start practices and help these young men take their game to the next level."

The Junior Lizards will be playing in a few key tournaments including the LIMLF Tournament on June 16th, the US Lacrosse Regional Qualifying Tournament on June 23rd and 24th, The Tri-State Lacrosse Tournament on July 7th and 8th and the Summer Sizzle on July 14th and 15th.
