Lizards Open Training Camp April 28

Uniondale, NY (April 23, 2007) -- The Long Island Lizards of Major League Lacrosse (MLL) open training camp Saturday April 28, 2007 at 10:00AM at Half Hollow Hills East High School. Lizards training camp will run the next three weekends with the practices taking place at high schools all across Nassau and Suffolk County. Training camp is open to the media and public.

"We like to take our training camp on the road so we can reach as many fans as possible," said Timothy Kelly, Long Island Lizards General Manager. "By spreading the camps all across Long Island it allows more fans to have access to the players."

Thirty-five players are invited to training camp. The Lizards must reduce the roster to 23 active players and three practice squad players by the end of training camp, which is May 13.

Members of the media planning to attend training camp sessions should contact Timothy Kelly at 631-424-2606. Players and coaches will be made available for interviews before and after practice as well as autograph sessions for the fans.

The Long Island Lizards open their 2007 season at home against their rival the Boston Cannons on Friday May25. This game will be shown live on ESPN2 in HD starting at 7:00PM. Season, group and individual game tickets are on sale now. Lizards season tickets start at $80 and individual game tickets start at $16.
