
Lizards Face-Off Combine and Goalie Clinic

Come join your favorite Lizards players for a specialty face-off and goalie clinic on Sunday, January 6. Greg "Beast" Gurenlian, face-off specialist for the Long Island Lizards, and goalie Drew Adams will be leading positional clinics from noon until 3 p.m. at the Long Island Sports Hub in Syosset.

2012 MLL Top Face-Off Specialist
Beast is the game's top face-off specialist, playing in all 14 regular season games and the playoff game last season for the Lizards. In 2012, Beast led Major League Lacrosse in face-offs, winning over 60% of the draws he took.
Areas covered by Beast during the clinic include:
- Individual technique analysis
- Perfecting the most effective moves
- Becoming an offensive threat
- Mastering wing play
- Heads and stringing for top draw men
- Effective counters
- Live 1-on-1 drills and competition
Registration for the face-off combine is $185 for a three hour session. Registration is open to boys currently in grades 1-12. Players must arrive in full equipment, including turf shoes or sneakers, no cleats please.

Goalie Clinic Led by Drew Adams
2011 and 2012 MLL Goalie of the Year
Goalie Drew Adams was the 2011 and 2012 Warrior MLL Goalie of the Year, becoming only the third player to win the award in consecutive years. Starting in the cage for all 14 regular season games and the playoff game for the Lizards, Drew posted a .5195 save percentage in 2012, helping the Lizards to eight wins on the season.
Drew will lead two separate goalie clinic sessions on January 6. Session 1 will be for boys currently in grades 1 through 6, and will run from Noon until 1:30 pm. Session 2 will be for boys currently in grades 7 through 12 and will run from 1:30 pm until 3:00 pm. Drew will work closely with players, as each session will consist of only 10 participants. Interested players are encouraged to sign up early as space is very limited.
Registration for goalie clinics is $95 for a 90 minute session. Players must arrive in full equipment, including turf shoes or sneakers, no cleats please.
