
Lizards announce tryout date

Uniondale, NY (January 24, 2007) -- The Long Island Lizards of Major League Lacrosse announced today that they will be holding an open tryout on March 31st at Mitchel Athletic Complex in Uniondale, NY to select several players to be invited to the team's official training camp starting in late April. The tryout will run from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
"We got such a great response when we announced the idea of a tryout that we wanted to set a date as early as possible," said General Manager Tim Kelly. "This is a chance for these guys to show everybody that they can play in this league".
The cost for the tryout is $100 and must be paid in advance. Included in the tryout cost are a complimentary 2007 Season Ticket and reversible practice jersey. Individuals not wishing to use the season ticket may donate it to the Lizards K.I.D.S. (Kids In Difficult Situations) Foundation. Individuals looking to tryout should contact the Lizards for a registration form today.
