Little League/Youth Night at McDonough Park with Donald Riveillo
June 28, 2021 - Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League (PGCBL)
Geneva Red Wings News Release
The Geneva Red Wings will be hosting a Little League/Youth Baseball Night at McDonough Park on Saturday July 3rd as they take on the Auburn Doubledays. Game time is 7:05pm.
Donald Riveillo, who played in the very first Little League World Series in 1947, will be at McDonough Park to throw out the first pitch before the game. In the first Little League Baseball World Series, all the teams except one were from Pennsylvania. At the time, Little League only existed in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. A Williamsport-area team (Maynard Midgets) won the first Series. Don was a catcher for the Jersey Shore Little League in 1947.
Come and enjoy a night out with your team and/or family on Youth Baseball Night. This event is open to little league, recreation teams, and softball teams. Youth players in uniform, hat or t-shirt of their team will receive free admission, a treat, and be able to participate in the pregame on-field parade and autograph session with the Geneva Red Wing players after the game. Come and enjoy a night at the ballpark and create a memorable night for your Little Leaguers.
