BOUCHERVILLE, Wednesday, March 28, 2007 - The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League's disciplinary committee today imposed a one-game suspension to Wildcats forward Maxime Lincourt.
The suspension follows an incident that occurred in a game against the Halifax Mooseheads last Monday in which Lincourt illegally hit an opposing player from behind.
The decision was rendered after viewing the videotape of the incident and consulting all concerned parties. The suspension is in effect as of today.
In accordance with the QMJHL policy in the matter of disciplinary sanctions, the disciplinary committee will not be available for further comment.
