Lights FC kicked off a four game homestand by hosting USL Championship Eastern Conference powerhouse Tampa Bay Rowdies at Cashman Field.

The visiting side opened the score as Cal Jennings buried the ball in the back of the net in the 14th minute of play, something he is used to doing in Downtown Las Vegas as he's the all-time leading scorer in Lights FC history.

The Lights' were able to get their own goal before the end of the first half, with Andrew Carleton serving a cross to Timothie Zali. His header was blocked by goalkeeper Connor Sparrow, but he couldn't control the ball and Zali was able to kick it in to level the score in the 24th minute.

In the final moments of the match, the Rowdies scored a wonder-goal with a kick from outside the box off of J.J. Williams' left cleat to get the game-winning goal for Tampa Bay.

NEXT GAME:

Lights FC will continue its four game homestand with their next match kicking off in less than 72 hours. Having a special start time of 6 p.m. PT, Las Vegas will host New Mexico on Tuesday to celebrate Independence Day at Cashman Field.

There will be postgame fireworks for the fans in attendance, making it the earliest fireworks show in the city (approximate start time of 8 p.m. PT), which is great for families with young kids and people that have to work the next day.

Las Vegas will play five matches at Cashman Field during the month of July, a franchise record for home games in a month. Tickets are on sale at LightsFC.com/Tickets
