Las Vegas Lights FC News Release
Lights FC started a four-game road trip by visiting Atlanta United 2 in the first ever matchup between these teams.
A fast and furious start saw both teams generate great opportunities in the first half, but both goalkeepers did a great job to go into the halftime break with a scoreless draw.
Atlanta opened the score just 3 minutes into the second half courtesy of Nelson Orji, coming off of a corner kick.
Las Vegas created opportunities throughout the match, with their efforts being rewarded in the 80th minute, with Cal Jennings finding the back of the net for the seventh time this season to leave the final score 1-1.
By earning a point in Atlanta, the Lights closed an eight day stretch with 3 games by adding 4 of 9 possible points in these matches, with their season total currently at 32 and leaving them above the playoff line at seventh place in the Western Conference.
