Lightning's Morgan Lewis Named Recharge with Milk Player of the Week

(TORONTO, ON): The National Basketball League of Canada is pleased to announce that Morgan Lewis of the London Lightning has been named the Recharge with Milk Player of the Week for the week ending November 18, 2012. This is the first London Lightning player to receive Player of the Week honours.

Lewis, a 6'5" 210-pound shooting guard from the University of Findley, scored in double figures in all three of London's victories this week. On Thursday night's 153-115 London victory over Oshawa, Lewis scored 13 points, pulled down 7 rebounds and dished out 8 assists. He improved his totals Saturday night in a 134-86 London triumph over the Montreal Jazz; in that game, Lewis scored 18 points on 7-for-9 shooting from the floor. In London's 79-76 road victory over Montreal on Sunday evening, Lewis had a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds; Lewis was also nearly perfect from the free throw line, going 9-for-10 from the charity stripe.
