Lightning Win in Shootout with Five

(SUDBURY, ON) The Lightning bounced back and defeated the Sudbury Five 118-114. New head coach Elliott Etherington got his first win of his head coaching carrer.

The Lightning had a strong start in the first quarter and withstood any comeback the Five had making tough plays down the streach to close out the victory.

Leading the charge was AJ Gaines who led the Lightning with 25 points. Veterans Garrett Williamson and Kirk Williams Jr. each scored 20 points, Mo Bolden added 18, Xavier Moon was all over the place in this game, had a double double with 13 points and 11 rebounds and also lead the team in assists and steals with 6 each. Kevin Ware finished with 12.
