London Lightning News Release

(LONDON, ON) - The London Lightning are excited to announce that we have signed American guard, Marlon Taylor.

The Mount Vernon, New York native joins the Bolts after several G-League stints with the Erie Bayhawks (New Orleans Pelicans affiliate), and Capital City Go-Go (Washington Wizards affiliate). Taylor last played for Leones de Santo Domingo of the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto in the Dominican Republic after being drafted by the G-League's Oklahoma City Blue in the 2021 G-League Draft.

Standing 6'5, the LSU Tigers alumnus went undrafted out of college but was signed to a 10-day exhibit deal with the Washington Wizards and saw action in the pre-season before joining the team's G-League affiliate.

"Marlon is a next level talent and an NBA level athlete who's spent time with the Washington Wizards as an exhibit 10 player. He comes from a winning program in LSU. He has had a tough road this far and has caught a couple bad breaks but he's hungry to get himself back to the level he is more than capable of playing at. He is a great kid and we look forward to him showcasing what he is capable of. He's humble and hungry to show who he is and what he can do at the professional level and is someone the fans in London will appreciate watching with his style of play." - Head Coach Doug Plumb Fans will find that Marlon is a man of few words. When asked for a quote on what fans can expect from him this season he simply replied with, "Time to get to work".

Catch Marlon and the rest of the Lightning this season at when they take the court at the Budweiser Gardens for their home-opener February 11th, 2022.
