
Lightning Represent Halifax: Catch the NBL All-Star Weekend on Rogers TV

This weekend Rogers TV, Cable 13 will broadcast coverage of the NBL Canada's inaugural All Star Weekend 2012, presented by Rogers Communications Inc. from the Halifax Metro Centre. On Saturday, March 31st from 3-5 PM catch the Three-Point Shoot Out and Slam-Dunk Contest, followed on Sunday, April 1st at 12 PM (noon) by the NBL All-Star Game on Rogers TV, Cable 13.
The NBL All-Star game roster includes three players from the NBL Champion London Lightning: guard Eddie Smith, an All-Star team captain, forward Gabe Freeman, named the 2011-2012 league and playoff MVP and guard DeAnthony Bowden.
Lightning Head Coach Michael Ray Richardson says, "It will be an exciting game for viewers - it's really a game for the fans and as a basketball coach, you still want to win." He adds, "The All-Star Weekend will be a great experience for the NBL and showcase the great talents of its players."
"Rogers TV is proud to have brought viewers the Lightning's march to the NBL championship both home and away" says, Bob Smith, Rogers TV Station Manager. "Now that they've taken the title, it's time to watch the players enjoy some much-deserved fun at the All-Star Weekend in Halifax."
Lightning Guard Jamar Abrams will also represent in Halifax. He along with Freeman will showcase their creativity and originality in Saturday's Slam-Dunk Contest and Abrams and DeAnthony look to show off their sharp-shooting skills in the Three-Point Shoot Out.
