(London, Ontario)
The London Lightning travelled to the Halifax Metro Centre for a Saturday night contest that completed a home and away series with the Rainmen. For the
second time in as many tries, London prevailed, this time by a score of 109-90.
This game featured stellar play at the forward spot. In 26 minutes, Abdullahi Kuso scored 13 points and had 11 rebounds for Halifax. However, London's
Gabe Freeman had 21 and 13 respectively, to give the visitors a decided edge.
Lightning head coach Michael Ray Richardson rode the hot hand of Taylor King who came off the bench to contribute 22 points and lead all scorers. In the
assist department, London more than doubled Halifax (28-13).
The schedule doesn't let up for the road team, as they travel to Saint John (0-1) for a 2pm tip-off on Sunday. It will be 3 games in four days for the Lightning,
but starting out undefeated makes the schedule easier.
