London Lightning News Release

(WINDSOR, ON) The London Lightning won their second game in as many days today as they defeated the Windsor Express, 120-98 at the WFCU Centre in Windsor, Ontario. The Bolts turned in arguably their best overall game, outscoring the Express in all four quarters and never relinquishing their lead. The closest Windsor would get was when the score was 0-0 as the Bolts led the game from the start, leading wire to wire.

Coach Plumb had his team looking sharp and playing as a well managed unit throughout the game. As a team, the Lightning got it done on both sides of the ball and were particularly impressive passing the ball as five players would dish out five or more assists and the team would collect 33 overall on the night.

Equally as impressive on the night, was the Bolts shooting from deep, where they would hit 18 of 32 three-pointers, good for 56%.

Seven Lightning players scored in double-digits today led by Marcus' 22. Capers also led the team with a game-high 8 assists on the afternoon. Omar Strong had another impressive night shooting the ball and followed up yesterday's performance with 19 points off the bench. Mo Bolden, Xavier Moon, and AJ Gaines each scored 14 points for the Bolts while Gaines also led the game in rebounding, collecting and impressive 16 of them. Randy Phillips added 12 points as a starter and marvin Binney enjoyed his best game as a Bolt with 10 points and 5 assists off the bench.
