London Lightning News Release

(LONDON, Ontario) - Wednesday night at Budweiser Gardens, in front of a crowd of 3,790, the London Lightning fell 99-98 to the Halifax Hurricanes in Game 4 in the NBLC Finals.

The Lightning now trail the best-of-seven series 3-1.

Akeem Scott once again led the way for London with 26 points while Stephen Maxwell contributed 20.

The final minute was a back and forth affair as each team took their turn at free throws, gaining a one point lead.

"It's not one play, it's never one play. But that last play was an example of some of the bad decisions we made throughout the course of the game," said coach Kyle Julius. "I don't look at it 3-1, I don't look at it like that because this group has been working consistently on the same things throughout the course of the year. So for me, I look at it like it's another game that we have to get better for and another game that we're going to have to execute."

Game 5 on Friday, June 10 is a win or go home situation and will be the last home game of the season. Tickets can be purchased online or through the Budweiser Gardens box office.
