Lightning Lose Back-To-Back Road Games

London Lightning News Release
(KITCHENER, ON) - The London Lightning fall 103-102 to the KW Titans Saturday night in Kitchener as the Bolts have now lost back-to-back games on the road. London drops to 11-2 on the season but still holds a commanding lead over the rest of the NBLC.
As is typical of this Lightning team, the Bolts found themselves down early against the Titans and had to play catch-up for most of the first half. Despite their league leading defense, London allowed the Titans to score 33 first quarter points. The Lightning were able to hold KW to just 18 second quarter points but still found themselves down at half.
It was much the same in the second half as London would eventually take a small lead before both teams would trade leads and runs during the third and fourth. With just .9 seconds left in the game, London was down one with two chances at the free throw line for Amir Williams.
Unfortunately for the Bolts, Williams missed both free-throws and KW escaped with a luck victory.
London was led by Chris Jones's 24 points and a monster double-double by Player of the Game, Amir Williams who scored 22 points and added 15 rebounds. Terry Thomas added 20 points off the bench and Cameron Forte contributed 18 points and 9 rebounds.
Chad Frazier was the top man for KW with a game-high 31 points while Eric Furgeson added 23 points and was the only other Titan to score in double digits.
The Lightning return to the Budweiser Gardens tomorrow afternoon as they take on the visiting Flint United on LiUNA Game Day! Make sure to stay up to date with team news by following the Lightning on social media or through the team website at www.lightningbasketball.ca.
