(LONDON, Ontario) - Tonight in front of 2,826 fans at Budweiser Gardens, the London Lightning were defeated by the Ottawa Skyhawks 112-102. This is a franchise-worst fifth straight loss for the Lightning.
Point-Guard Tony Bennett led Lightning in scoring with 29 points.
Stephen McDowell chipped-in with 24 points while Elvin Mims posted a double-double with 18 points and 13 rebounds.
"It was a tough game, we tried to get back on the right track, we need to get better defensively." Said McDowell.
The Lightning's next home game is on Family Day; Monday, February 17 at 2pm. The upper-bowl will be open for the third time this season, as the Lightning tip-off against the Brampton A's.
