Lightning Fall to Five

(SUDBURY, ON) The London Lightning fell flat tonight against the Sudbury Five, spending the entire game trying to play catch up. London was without Head Coach Doug Plumb this evening as he was serving a one-game suspension from the league due to accumulation of technical fouls. After the 131-119 loss, the Lightning drop to 14-8 on the season and now have just a 1.5 game on the Five for the Central Division lead.

The Sudbury Five's league-leading offense was on full display this evening as the Lightning had no answer for Braylon Rayson, who scored 49 points on the evening. The Lightning were outscored by the Five in three of the four quarters before putting together a 41 point fourth quarter.

London was lead by Anthony Gaines Jr's 30 points on the night. Gaines added 10 rebounds and went 5- for-5 from beyond the arc. Xavier Moon added 26 points on the evening while newcomer Cameron Forte had 19. Jaylon tate added 13 and Canadian, Tyrell Green added 12 in his first start of the season.
